THE BRAND

For the Love of Nic Nac is a brand which creates super cute and colourful earrings, bracelets and accessories.

AIM

My brand ethos is to bring colour into your life using safe and hypoallergenic materials. Also to make you smile and add fun to your outfits.

HOW IT BEGAN

During lockdown I was really struggling with my mental health, so my mum suggested getting out my box of crafts from years ago and within the same day I’d come up with my business name, set up my Etsy store, my instagram account and had my first collection ready to sell.

MINDFULNESS

One of the wonderful things about my business is that it has become my go to form of mindfulness- when I’m creating my anxiety mostly disappears!

THE JOURNEY

I began making super simple beaded jewellery and progressed quite quickly to polymer clay. I’m now obsessed with this method.

THE METHOD

My earrings are made using FIMO polymer clay. The clay is softened in my hand and I then feed it through a pasta machine to condition it. Once my slab is ready it’s then time to get cutting. I have 100s of fun and quirky cutters to create my cute and fun pieces.

Next is to place the clay pieces in a pre heated oven at 110c for around 50 minutes. Then they’re left to cool ready to assemble to the finished products.

HYPOALLERGENIC

All my findings and earring posts are hypoallergenic stainless steel or 925 silver.
